Job Description:

Join single specialty private practice group. Our client is located in the

fastest growing and wealthiest suburb in Oregon. Home to Intel and many

other hi-tech companies, the explosive growth here has facilitated the

creation of a new cardiothoracic surgical program. You will join a single

specialty private practice that has provided invasive and non-invasive

services in the community since 1991. Call will be 1 in 5. A base first

year package in the $300,000 range is offered. The cardiologists presently

take home over $420,000 each.

Expect a 4-day workweek. Every 5th weekday and weekend on call, covered

pension plan, paid CME and other benefits. Attend at one hospital with a

ready-made referral base in your own office. The office is 75 yards from the

hospital and has a full complement of equipment including treadmill, echo

and stress echo, Holter and even monitor and pacemaker interrogation. The

position will involve an 18-24 month employee period followed by a

partnership offer.

In 1991 there were 4 cardiologists here; today the same four remain. The

population and referral base has doubled. The hospital has grown as well

and has a full complement of medical and surgical specialties. The CTS

program began in the fall of 2001 and alliance of primary care providers and

specialists work together to contract with third party payers and eases the

burden caused by managed care. There has never been a more opportune time

for a cardiologist to join the practice.
